My Very First Post

I am very new to stitch-a-longs but would have to say I am thoroughly enjoying stitching with you all. One less project that gets put in my 'one day' pile.

Thankyou so much to Susan for all your help getting me started with both the stitching and the posting.

Thanks also to Helen for getting us all together, wonderful idea and love that it is no fuss!

I finished another 3 blocks on the weekend and have to say I am much happier with them. I don't do many projects with embroideries in them and it has taken a few attempts to get back in the rhythm.

We have been away the last 2 weekends and I find these little stitcheries ideal to take with me. I have sewed in a showground, by a lagoon, by the ocean and even on a couple of ferries.  A good little project to pick up and fill in time.

This is one of the fabrics I have chosen for some of my blocks. I have a selection of pinks, greens and a bit of blue to mix in with it. The quilt will end up going to my lovely mother-in-law and she will love these colours. I made her a lap quilt many, many years ago and she has used it so much the front started to fall apart. Time for a new one!

Like a few other ladies, my favourite block so far is the rose one.

I look forward to seeing everyone else's progress.

xx Erica

Love the pink fabric and your blocks. I haven't stitched the roses one yet but they are definitely my favourite flower.
