Just A Little Tweaking

I am joining in with the 2019 stitch-a-long but I have to confess, I was not keen on doing another quilt to add to my collection.  I did love the look of this quilt with all the pretty postcards and have been struggling with what to do..  Well I have come up with an idea ... I have stitched my first block, not to get ahead but to make sure it looked ok and I can say now, that I am pleased with it.. So here is what I plan to do..  I have shrunk it by 50%..   Mine will be a wall hanging - I think - (off the top of my head) that the original finished size was around 60 inches x 75 inches - mine will be about 30 inches x 37.5inches.. I might add a border but will look at that further down the track...  I have also changed the stamps on the block to make it more personal to me.. Last year, hubby and I went to New Zealand on a Princess cruise - so I have changed the wording in the stamp to PRINCESS and have added NZ and a date to the stamp..    I plan on doing this type of thing to a few of my blocks but not all of them..  Just thought i would let everyone know, just in case they were interested in doing this too.   I (hubby) scanned the pattern, shrunk it by 50%, then printed it off - I also stitched with one thread so my wording wouldn't get lost...
That's all - just thought I would mention it..

Good idea....I love the idea of personalising it....just haven’t worked out how yet....and not too keen on reducing it by 50%....I haven’t even sorted colours yet....I guess that is what holiday time is for.
